We welcome you to join us at Parallel 44 Vineyard and Winery located just 18 miles from Green Bay, WI in beautiful Kewaunee County along the western shore of Lake Michigan. 

The 44th parallel is the line of latitude that runs across the globe from Green Bay to Kewaunee through Bordeaux, France and Tuscany, Italy which are the world's finest wine regions. This family owned and operated vineyard and winery will transport you to our European counterparts along the 44th parallel. 

It seems like forever that we dreamed of owning a vineyard and winery – and one day we decided to make our dreams come true!  For Steve, it was probably due to childhood memories of his father growing grapes in the backyard of his house and making wine in the basement. 

Maria can still remember grapes being delivered to her parents home where her father and friends used an antique grape press to make wine so strong you would have thought it was brandy. This press is proudly displayed in our wine production area today.  Wine was shared at meals on a regular basis where it was all about family and friends – those fond childhood memories have never been forgotten. 

We wanted to draw on our experiences as kids and create a European style vineyard and winery right here in our own backyard of Wisconsin where we have enjoyed growing up and are now raising our family.  It has been a whirlwind experience and we have loved every minute of it.
